Back in summer 2007, I went all over China (ten different cities) with my mother and younger sister. After We spent our longest time in Guangzhou and Hong Kong. The best thing there was the food which I sorely miss! No Chinese food in America can compare (I felt so spoiled after returning back to the US). Everything there is made fresh and delicious! Next was the immense amount of history there ranging back thousands of year and seeing all my relatives there. However, seeing the poverty and pollution also made me feel sad too. I even had my new camera stolen while shopping some busy street (lesson: don't wear backpacks and keep your purse in front!). But I want to return again. Next time, I want to explore the mountains there and spend a tad more time shopping in Hong Kong =)
outside Summer Palace, Beijing and right is Wu Xian (sp)

riding a boat in Hong Kong. it was so relaxing! the right side is a view from night.

Studio picture with my sister (red).

the right side is the best lai won baos. it's a sweet bun with something similar to egg custard inside. i can't eat the ones in america, but the ones in china are amazing!
Hope you don't mind all the pics; there was just so much I saw and I took so many pics. I would love to hear about all your trips too! -Tes
