NEW GROUP - POLYVORE'S PICTURE BOARD (PPB)

Myself (jangold), Gwyn and Mony have started a new group called Polyvore's Picture Board (PPB for short). This is a group for sets that contain picture board stories or mood boards. A picture board is a collection of other pictures. For this group, for now, all picture boards should contain 9 equal squares (3x3) as shown in the logo and examples on the grup. Therefore, at least one or two of your pictures need to be square to start with. However, the others can be made square shaped by layering. They are quick and easy to create and can be of anything as long as there is a theme attached to 4 or 5 of the pictures with the remaining squares more decorative. Picture boards can consist of anything as long as you title, tag or make obvious the theme. They can be of colours, animals, houses, gardens, flowers, holidays, places - anything you want as long as it is clear and labelled if not. Contests will be run regularly once there is enough members. Please check out the group, join and start posting. Lanzarote. PoliXena

Happy Saturday, dear friends. As I said before I´m from Canary Islands. This is a photo of the countryside of the isle where I was born -named Lanzarote- and where my mother and most of my family still live in. I don´t live there anymore, yet I´m very near. I´ve been living in a bigger isle during latest years.

Before, I used to travel quite a lot due to my work but not now (now my life is much quieter) so now I have more chances to go there to visit my mom and enjoy the calm of the volcanic landscape. Hope you like it! Take care and be happy. X. xx

Furniture Moving by Suzanne4

Our lovely piano left yesterday, headed to my daughter's new home.  So the result was an afternoon of moving furniture and trying to figure out the arrangement of the living room area.  I believe that this is my favorite corner... my hawkeye with the china roses from my mom, a quilt, the adorable angel from Jeanne one of my best friends, bears, a vase from my traveling brother (now home...yay!!!) and other treasures.

My New Baby

This is my baby! I got her today, she is 8 weeks old and an English Staffordshire Bull Terrier. I am in love :) Isn't she just adorable??? :)

My hobby

This is one of my hobbies...cross-stitching. I use to do a lot of it during my school days...but since I started working my time is limited and it took longer to finish a design. This two pieces was completed after a year of hibernation, and it hangs on a wall in one of the room in my house. I'm sorry the image isn't so good, i took it with my phone camera. ....imgreatgal

Hi my dear friends!! I want to show you "my" spring flowers too: these aren't cherry blossoms, but I guess they are peach blossoms (tell me if I'm wrong!). I really love to see flowers on fruit trees: they are the sign of the nature rebirth!!

There is lots of building work going on in my garden!

We're having an extension on our house... making the kitchen bigger so that it can be a kitchen/diner, and turning our dining room into a sort of second lounge :)

Today the builders started to put the roof on! Now it really looks like it will be a proper room...

This is out my front patio! We have an amazing view of the mountains!! You can see the snow is almost all gone!!! And we are the "land of the midnight sun" so it stays bright up and sunny till late!!!!!! REally late...
Kids play in the streets till well past midnight because the sun is still going...

A Visit With Daisy And Bracken - Gwyneth

Today I had the pleasure of a lovely visit with my dear friend, Anne. She gardens on 7 acres and has her own cut flower business. She also has two very affectionate dogs (Daisy, black lab and Bracken, golden lab) She also has 11 cats!

Anne is a master gardener. I've learned so much from her, and we also trade plants and have coffee together often!

As you can see, it was a beautiful day today!

I live in Santos/Brazil - Cris

I was born in the countryside, but I live here since I was a child.
This is my town - Santos-Brazil. It´s a island near São Paulo, our biggest city. Santos is a touristic city, and has one of the most important Sea Port of South America.

The green in the photo is a gardem, if you don´t want go to the beach you can sit in this garden, walk or ride a bicycle!

This is a pier where everybody goes to see the Transatlantic leaving in the tourism season. The sunsets here are amazing.

Santos is a important historical city too, the first hospital and churchs of Brazil are here. This is the Stock Market of coffee, building in the "Coffee Period". The historical center are being restored.

This is a little part of my city, hope you like!

My Sunshine & My Joy by Simply Saralee

Introducing my sunshine & my joy! These are my Grand Angels Colton 12 & Chloe 9. I don't think I really knew what love was until God blessed me with grand children. These two awesome kids fill my life with so much more than I ever dreamed. I love their sweet kisses and their velcro hugs!Besides being cuties on the outside they both have such caring and beautiful hearts. They are both always looking for ways to bless others less fortunate in life than themselves. Chloe has grown her beautiful hair twice to have 13 inches cut off to donate to "Locks of Love." This is to make human hair wigs for kids with cancer. She is now growing it again so she can donate again. Colton loves to help the elderly. They are both very active in sports and Chloe in "Girl Scouts." but . . . the best time of all is when they have free weekends or school breaks and they spend them with my hub and me! The best music to my ears is four little words . . . "I Love You Nana!"

Lunch With My Girls - Gwyneth

Since we can't do that, here's our virtual lunch.
I made us a fried egg and cheese sandwich on whole wheat toast. There's an apple because I believe in eating live fresh foods with EVERY meal. And, of course, I am fueled by caffeine.
So there's always a pot of coffee on at my house!

Badminton Horse Trials is a 3 day event - dressage, cross country and showjumping - held at Badminton House in the south-west of England. I live very close, so I went to watch. I had to pretend to be 12 to get in free! So I went with no make-up, which is why I have sunglasses on...

Hi Girls! It's my birthday!!! :-D This morning I had a so lovely awakening...this wonderful bouquet was waiting for me on my piano: isn't it beautiful? My mom knows how much I love flowers, so she uses to buy me a bouquet every birthday. Wow, these roses are perfect!!

My breakfast. PoliXena

Morning, dear friends. This is my (almost) everyday breakfast: a nice and big cup of tea -with some milk and sugar-, a couple of toast with butter and sometimes a kiwi.

This is what I eat when I wake up but here we use to have a "second" breakfast at noon... it can be something like a a sandwich, an omelette or a piece of cake and any sort of beverage: natural fruit juices, coffe or tea or even a coke. It´s a kind of snack and if you have it too late it becomes an appetizer wich is usually salty: maybe some olives, cheese, serrano ham and a glass of wine or a beer. But I have it when I´m outside (working, shopping or so on), if I´m at home -like today, I have a free day- I have just a second tea with some biscuits. We eat a lot... I know ;) Have a nice friday, take care and be happy. X. xx

Simple breakfast with jangold

Well this is as exciting as breakfast gets if I have time to even get some in my household. I do love my little cornflake decorated melamine bowl though, which looks like you have more left than you do !! It is also fun washing up as it never seems to get clean. I think I am going to get some more with icecream and candies on them. Jan PS apologies for the blatant advertising !
