Hi dear ladies!!!
I found this photos, they are from this summer, when I was in Turkey for my holiday.This is in one shop(very biiigg shop) where there were hand made crockery items( I think they are called like that on English:) People in the shop made them in front of us, I was amazed by their speed and style they were using, so WONDERFUL. I am in love with all of their work <3

In front of the Book Store. PoliXena

This is a photo of a tree near my house, I took it last saturday. It´s in front of my favourite books store so I see it very often.

I don´t know its name but it´s beautiful... and it is not alone, there are a lots of wonderful trees around here.

You know I was born in a volcanic, almost desertic island, so the first time I came to this one I was amazed by the beautiful flowers wich bloom everywhere due to the warm weather and the rain... And all year long because the winter is very soft.





Now that I have more free time and my life´s pace is softer I´m enjoying them again.

It´s stunning how the landscape changes depending on the isle you are. Each one has it owns climate...architecture, morphology and so on... some of them have precious beaches and others damp forest... so you can enjoy a great diversity just moving a bit. Have a nice rest, X. xx

A strange thing happened to me earlier. I had picked my Fav of the Day set off my group and went to PM the person who had won today and the set had been added to one of her collections. When I saw the collection front pic showing on the bottom of the set I was Fav of the Daying, it was one of mine !! There was very little difference in it. So I have asked her respectfully to remove the set. I am now suspicious of her other sets - she has low favs and one other set at least was very similar to mine. If you want to check her out it is JellybabyGirl and the set she copied is http://www.polyvore.com/new_shoes/set?id=5515421 (my set) and her's is http://www.polyvore.com/new_shoes/set?id=6416288 I am only telling you so to be aware and check your own sets, but also I had problems on Styleshake also where people would do this and because there was no date stamp on the models/sets (only an order to follow) it was very easy to copy someone and then start a major campaign against them claiming the person copied was the copycat and this happened to a number of us on Styleshake til we all left. The Dutch sky...from Ann

Because I like to show you the Dutch sky...how it looked just 30 min ago (its 20.15 pm here now) no clouds...just a tree...difficult to miss since I live opposite a park I'm surrounded by trees :)) Will post a pic of it later.

Lanzarote....from Ann

I saw Polixena of Zena is from Lanzarote and I was there 2 years ago on a holiday. Took a lot of pics and this is one of them. I really loved the volcanic island and I love to go back there one day :)

Nice to be here and I will tell you a bit about myself.

I live in the Netherlands or as I like to say in Holland, I have 2 great but naughty cats called Daantje and Gekkenhuis (Daantje is short from Danielle and Gekkenhuis means Lunatic ;) )

I work in a hospital as a medical secretary at the oral surgeon department...for 5 years now...its a nice job and I really like it.

I have lots of hobbies: I like to read, take pictures, music (Pearl Jam), MOVIES! (my collection is about 775 movies and growing) Love to watch Formula One racing since 1988, love to go to concerts and festivals...and I adore New York :))))

You all probably think I'm very addicted to Mr Depp because on Polyvore it certainly looks that way ;) but in real life I like Mr. Reeves a bit more (don't ask me why but I just do for many years now)...on Poly in my sets and stories I like him too of course.  

So in short....this is me...and again...Nice to be here and I'm hoping to have a great time here with you girls :)

Large flowers - from jangold

In the continuing weather in the centre/northern part of the UK I've been forced to post outdoor pics from other places. I loved the 'large' flower that Gwyn posted, therefore, I wanted to share these two pictures with you. I took these in Mauritius and are from the famous Pamplemousses Garden there. The one on the left is from the lotus pond and the one on the right is from the more famous giant water lily pond. The pictures do not do these justice and many of these lilies are up to 2 feet in diameter. This is a photo of my kitchen´s cupboard. I started to collect hearts long time ago because I wanted to learn to love and appreciate my life as it was and I thought they could be a wonderful reminder.

And it works, my friends... as time goes by I have started to love more (and more) my dayly life and enjoy the everyday pleasures. No doubt, little things make life great ;)

Starless Artemis: Hello everyone!!

How are you all? I'm Tes, writing from San Francisco, California. It's foggy now, though the weekend was warm and sunny. I live a 5 minute walk from the sea and a 20 minute bike ride from a forest. Thus, I really love the outdoors (but not when its cloudy and cold). I love to take photographs, paint, and cook. However, I haven't done much of the first two lately. These days, I'm keeping busy as volunteer at a research lab, tutor everyday and teach.

This weekend, I went to Chinatown and Japantown. Chinatown is a very busy place; everytime I go I remember spending a lot of my childhood there. My grandmother took me up and down all the streets when I was in elementary school. At Japantown, they make one my favorite crepe: it has green tea gelato, matcha sauce and red bean paste. Here's take a bite!

Precious Gifts - Gwyneth

Here is a beautiful flower from the tree peony that was a gift from my friend Anne. The little glass pieces are from my husband's brother. He digs for old bottles and antique bits at building sites and often gives me treasures. The bracelets are mine from flea market finds!

Swine flu is increasing so rapidly in Japan.
I saw a lot of people wear masks when they are in a office and on a train.
( Today I was wearing it too for just in case.)
The masks are all sold out in drugstores!!
It's so crazy!! I hope I don't get the flu.

Okay anyway, I just thought it's nice to share my some photos again:)

Those photos are a part of fun 1 day trip. It really was 24 hours trip:D

We left home at 4:00am and we went back at 4:00am next morning.

Me and my friends planed the trip just because we wanted to eat "Udon"(It's Japanese style noodles).

This is exactly what we wanted! It's simple taste but it was really good:)

Maybe it looks strange for you haha:D I understand that Japanese have very different food habit than other countries.

Still raining but some flowers - jangold

It's still raining up here in the Midlands of the UK and very grey. However, I did manage to get outside for a moment and snap this picture of these beautiful bluebells. In fact I didn't know we had any of these and went to see another plant - so this was a lovely surprise. I hope the sun comes out soon and Spring/Summer hits us between the eyes ! Hugs Jan

A little bit of gardening

It is azalea time in the Pacific Northwest... this plant is in our front yard.  And then on our front porch are the tomato plants that are getting ready to be planted.  It has been several years since we have planted tomatoes so hopefully the summer will cooperate and we will have a bountiful harvest!  Take care and God Bless you!!Suzanne4

I didn't leave them in the oven quite long enough, so they are very soft and fall apart easily... but they still taste absolutely gorgeous!!!

My dearest Jan, I'm eternally endebted to you for telling me about http://www.styleshake.com/ - it is so awesome!!
There are some restrictions with the designing, but the really cool thing is that you can buy your - and others - designs once you've designed them!
Of course, right now my pitiful funds don't stretch as far as a £50- or £60-something dress, but I live in hope of purchasing some of my creations one day...

Here are my favourites of the dresses I've created.

I think maybe the gold one with black is my overall favourite... what do you think?

I've just came back from the cinema - my dad and I were watching a film "Angels and Demons". I truly recommend to watch it as it's so interesting and good. I loved the book and the film hasn't disappointed me. I loved to see amazing places of Rome and Vatican, so you should, too!

New Cat in the Corner - jangold

My hubby's cutting back of the brambles and branches is paying off. Yesterday I noticed a 'new kitty on the block' that I've never seen before and especially not on our Summer house shed. Guess what?... I love making all sort of traditional collages. Cut and paste has been one of my favorite pastime since I was a little girl. No matter what others hobbies I can start (I´m always trying new thing, most of then related to art or craft) I always come back to my collages: I look for my scissors (I have lots of them), my glue (exactly the same) and I´m ready to pass a few hours in paradise. I´ve changed my style through the years, now my collages are more intimate but they always have help me to connect con my inner self and find peace.
